Each year, Tanwax Country Chapel takes part in 5 Mile Lake Summer Camps, which are run by the Puget Sound Christian Youth Association (PSCYA). 5 Mile Lake Camp is located in Federal Way, WA at the Lakeview Christian Conference & Retreat Center. Camps are divided by age groups. High school, middle school & elementary school (4th-6th grade). Each of the camps are a week long & their aim to teach kids about who Jesus is and who we are as believers and followers of Christ.

At camp, we meet new friends, eat together, play games together, worship together, and work together to grow closer to Jesus. Every year, the staff works hard to encourage spiritual growth in a fun & safe environment. For many of the campers, 5 Mile Lake has become a home away from home; they continue to return year after year.

There is also a weekend Young Adult Retreat for those who are out of school & looking to grow closer to God.

Camp Registration

Please register online.
Be prepared with your camper’s medical information and any other relevant health information available upon registration.

Simply visit pscya.org/registration to get started.

Cost and Payment

All camps are $265.00 for the week. If you have multiple children in your family, others are $235.00. Price includes a camp shirt and Canteen money ($2 per day). You can pay by credit card online or through your church.  Please do not bring any additional money to camp, and please make checks out to “PSCYA.”

Scholarships are available from Tanwax CC & Village Missions.  Please inquire with Pastor Greg Olson or Pastor Dan Tanner.  Their information can be found on the “About” page above.

Camp Opening and Closing Times

Final registration and cabin assignments begin at 9:30 a.m. the first day of camp!

We find it most beneficial for the camp that campers from the same church be distributed among the cabins. For this reason, we need flexibility in cabin assignments. We make every effort to meet camper’s one cabin mate preference. Camp activities begin with noon meal on Monday. Camp concludes Saturday at 10:00 a.m. after camp cleanup. All campers must be picked up by 11:00 a.m. on the last day of camp.

Calling All Volunteers!

5 Mile Lake is completely volunteer-run and is always looking for volunteers! Volunteer registration forms must be completed, signed by you, your parent/guardian (if under 18), and your pastor.  Once you’ve completed the form, turn it in to your Village Missions Pastor.

If you would like to volunteer, you can download a Camp Volunteer Application and other useful information here:
